Noah Pfefferblit has many years of experience in New York City government and the nonprofit sector. He worked at the Manhattan Borough President’s Office in the administrations of Ruth Messinger and C. Virginia Fields, serving as Director of Community Affairs and overseeing the appointments of all Manhattan Community Board members and the office’s work with communities and constituencies throughout the borough. After leading the response by the Borough President’s Office to the attacks of 9/11 and the relief efforts that followed, he took a position at Wall Street Rising, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rebuilding and revitalization of lower Manhattan. After serving as President of Wall Street Rising, Noah left to become District Manager of Community Board 11 in lower Manhattan, where he remained for 11 years, guiding the board throughout the reconstruction of lower Manhattan. Mr. Pfefferblit works with Witness to Mass Incarceration to raise funds from government agencies, elected officials, foundations and other sources, and with government and community relations throughout New York City, areas in which he has had many years of experience. He is also an experienced editor and writer, having edited numerous books and written newsletters and other documents. He is active in Democratic politics and civic affairs in New York City.
