Affecting change and improving lives drives Winer’s career. She has been integral in helping organizations see their missions succeed, and developing brands which appeal to people’s intelligence as well as their hearts. 

Work includes the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, for whom, and along with Fabrice Houdart, she created a global campaign, “Tackling Discrimination Against LGBTI People: Standards of Conduct for Business,” which has been gathering support and sponsors. Jewish Women’s Foundation of NY, for whom Winer does strategy, creative input on projects, producing collateral, video and web, fund-raising and donor pieces. JWFNY supports visionary, innovative entrepreneurial women who use their values to solve global issues, especially for women and girls. Evie Litwok is among these women.

School in the Square is a charter middle school in Washington Heights, brilliantly serving their underserved local population. The Center for Talent Innovation is a nonprofit think tank whose focus is on helping organizations leverage their talent across the divides of gender, generation, geography, and culture. Carol helped build their brand for more than a dozen years. For eight years as Director of Creative Services at Hadassah, Winer developed compelling branding and exhibit materials and led their first ever capital campaign which built a new hospital in Jerusalem, having raised over $200 million in Phase One from grassroots and major donors.

Winer’s client list includes real estate, pharma, fashion—Parke-Davis, Cushman & Wakefield, Armani, Coach Leather, Burberry. Carol taught at Parsons/New School for Design, is a former board member of the Type Directors Club. Winer is a poet and collagist.
