Nishtha Sharma

Nishtha is a second-year undergraduate at the University of Chicago and is majoring in Psychology & Sociology with a specialization in Public Health. On campus, she is involved in cultural student organizations, including the South Asian Students’ Association and the UChicago Bhangra team. With a particular interest in grant writing, Nishtha is committed to helping Witness obtain the resources necessary to catalyze larger restructuring initiatives that tackle racial inequity and sexual violence head-on.

In her free time, Nishtha enjoys writing poetry, finding rare hiking spots near flat-landed Chicago, bracelet making, and FaceTiming her poochon from back home when she’s at college.
