Jennifer Arias
Jennifer Arias is an undergraduate English Major at Temple University. As a dedicated writer and advocate for underrepresented voices, she has compiled a portfolio of essays that outline systemic injustices. Under the guidance of educators such as Dr.Joyce Joyce, her passion for uplifting the disenfranchised has only increased and created a personal desire for equity. She has also worked closely with undocumented immigrants by teaching and tutoring them in the English Language, thus broadening her perspective and allowing her to work closely with those affected by government policies. Her familial experiences with illegal documentation and institutional oppression of women and minorities created a focus on disproportionate incarceration rates. As she continues to understand and communicate with her peers, she drives to support her surrounding community, hoping to provide change for all affected families and individuals.
