Ava Boehm

Ava Boehm (she/her) is a UCLA student studying sociology and a self-designed ‘language and power’ major. Through these subjects, she has centered her coursework around language, social justice, and their enumerable overlaps.

Outside of the classroom, Ava is always looking for new ways to use her skills to serve marginalized communities. In the past, this has included internships with USAID: Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance and the grassroots political organization Activate America. Now, she is eager to direct her focus toward the impactful initiatives at Witness, joining the team as a journalism intern.
