Yisak Asfaw

Yisak is an international student from Ethiopia currently studying at the University of Southern California majoring in Economics and minoring in Business Finance. Coming from a developing third world country Yisak has experienced first-hand how the failings of institutions and policies negatively impacts the people, so when learning about the deeply flawed incarceration systems in the United states Yisak felt the responsibility to make a difference which is what he intends to do within the economic development team at Witness. In his spare time Yisak enjoys discovering and reading old Ethiopian literature as well as playing football (and yes it's football not soccer).
