Ji-Eun Ahn

Ji-Eun Alice Ahn (they/them) is a double hyphenated Development Grant Writing Intern at Witness to Mass Incarceration. After working as a bookseller for 7 years, getting an AA in Liberal Arts (or what most people like to call taking any class until you graduate by default), they became an Ada Comstock Scholar at Smith College with a Bachelor's in Comparative Literature and Mathematics (or what most people like to call two very intense majors). Determined to not let a complete lack of actual writing experience deter them, they did a bunch of education internships and an AmeriCorp position at Saga Education before realizing that they hated teaching completely and attempted to pivot back to writing without realizing the hole that they had shovelled. This is part of that experience. They currently work for the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana as a Troop Support Specialist with two cats that hate them.
